Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. Her most well-known role was Skyler on AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and won Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting during her time at the Preparatory School. In the late 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and was a theatre student through Northwestern University. Anna had a brief stint working in Chicago theater before transitioning to TV and film roles. Anna was chosen to play Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the 29-episode series Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late 1990's. Anna was later cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. Skyler was in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully as well as Deadwood was also an integral part of her acting career. Gunn also starred in David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. The year 2022 saw Gunn also was a part of a four-part audio-play podcast called "Numbered Days". Breaking Bad is often centered around the relationship of Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their conflicted relationship and their eventual break up echoes end of Walter White's life.
